Ironmen and women prove they’re up to the mettle

More than 100 people took part in the event organised by Flashy Nation Sports.

Now if  you thought living in the Caribbean was all about relaxing, kicking back, sipping coconuts and lounging around on hammocks – then think again.

Sunday saw iron men and women knuckle down and get more than a sweat on at the Paradise Triathlon and Duathlon.

More than 100 people took part in the event organised by Flashy Nation Sports.

“The sun was hot, it was boiling but the guys got it done,” said Kendall Ebanks of Flashy Nation.

“They persevered and they got it accomplished. It was a great event, we had bigger numbers than last year.

“It was a great turnout but we got great feedback too. Everyone enjoyed the race with some even saying it was the best race they had ever done.”
