Police find ganja farm

Some of the plants recovered by police.

Police have found a cannabis farm after a raid in North Side.

Just after 9 a.m. Tuesday, officers acting on a tip off carried out a search of an open lot in the Frank Sound Road area.

They recovered around 80 ganja plants being grown on the premises. No arrests were made. 

On Tuesday, 25 July, just after 9am, police officers in the Eastern Districts acted on information from the public and carried out a search of an open lot in the Frank Sound Road area of the district of North Side under the Misuse of Drugs Law, 2017 Revision.

“We would like to thank and commend those members of the community who contacted us for working with us to prevent the use and spread of drugs throughout the districts,” said Inspector Rudi Gordon, Neighbourhood Inspector for the Eastern Districts.
