She came… she saw and boy did she conquer.
Kevie Ann Peirre was crowned Miss Teen Cayman on Saturday night.
In front of a packed crowd at the Lions Centre the 17-year-old walked away with the top prize.
Close runner up and second runner up were Arleny Connor and Ashley Bush.
But all the girls who entered won the hearts of the nation and special mention has to go to the remaining contestants Thalia Naranjo, 15, West Bay; Lian Ebanks, 16, George Town and Layah Ebanks, 18, West Bay.
Saturday night however was all about Kevie-Ann. As well as the prestige of winning the pageant, she also picks up a four-year scholarship offered by the Ministry of Education.
Pageant Committee Chair, Stephanie Scott said: “All contestant gave outstanding performances. They were all excellent.
“Our panel of experienced judges do a good job in assessing the presentations of each girl and although there is always disappointment when one person wins over the other.
“I trust the young ladies all see themselves as winners and embrace their more confident and self-assured personalities.”
Now for not just the winner, but the two runners-up as well, the hard work begins as they spend the next year as ambassadors for the youth of Cayman.
She and other contestants will continue community work and service through the Lions and Leo Clubs of Grand Cayman.
