Tis the season for a pageant, tra la la la lar….
Is that a song? Maybe not. But Cayman’s gone pageant crazy this week. First was Miss Teen and we’ve all seen that one.
Now it’s time for the Imperial Beauties Scholarship Pageant as part of the Imperial Beauties of America.
The Cayman Islands Imperial Beauties Scholarship Pageant is more than a beauty pageant, it is a pageant designed to transform, develop and motivate each contestant. The pageant will focus on educational accomplishments, community involvement, integrity, talent and self-confidence as well as developing young girls and ladies to be future leaders within their country.
In its second year, the Imperial Beauties Scholarship Pageant was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Orlando International Airport with nine delegates which included four Queens from our 2016 inaugural year.
Despite the intense competition, Team Cayman walked away with many optional prizes, placements and two world titles in addition to Shantina Barnes, Brianna Livingston and Zariah Linwood receiving academic, volunteer service and national appearance recognition.
Kayla Harris, Cayman’s Imperial 2016 Spirit Winner, was 3rd Runner-Up in the World Imperial Beauties Competition.
Jaida Archer, Cayman’s Imperial 2017 Junior Teen, was 1st Runner-Up in the World Imperial Beauties Competition.
Nerissa McLaughlin, Cayman’s Imperial 2017 Teen, was World Imperial Beauties Teen.
Japhia Loval Linwood, Cayman’s Imperial 2017 Woman, was World Imperial Beauties Woman.
