Joanna Lewis – Editor
Joanna heads up the team at The Cayman Reporter, bringing more than 15 years industry experience as a newspaper and magazine editor, journalist, features writer and public relations specialist.
Originally from the U.K., Joanna graduated with a BA (hons) in Journalism from the University of Sheffield. She is the former editor of a Cayman-based food and wine magazine as well as a former editor of a popular weekly lifestyle supplement covering arts and entertainment.
When not focused on the news of the day and the day-to-day running of the business, Joanna likes to find time to write lifestyle articles on her particular areas of interest; food and wine, health and beauty, interior design, travel, and with the recent arrival of her little girl Ella, parenting.
Ron Shillingford – Acting Editor / Sports
Ron is a former Cayman based sports editor. He is a best-selling author and novelist, and has worked as a sub-editor on some of the U.K.’s leading national newspapers. He is a certified tutor in English, writing assignments for various publications and websites and ghostwriting memoirs for the London-based publishers Story Terrace.
A veteran journalist of more than 30 years standing, Ron’s area of expertise includes sports, human interest and local news reporting.
Paul Kennedy – News
During a career that spans almost three decades, Paul has covered some of the biggest stories in the world for regional and national newspapers. A multi-award winning journalist and published author, he has worked for the past six years producing television news and documentaries in Cayman. Paul is also the host of a weekly football show. His dream story is to find a dog that can play piano.
Charles Duncan – Political Reporter / News
Charles Duncan has more than a decade of experience as a reporter and editor. He has worked as a political reporter and data journalist in Cayman for the past two years, building up an enviable book of contacts.
His work has appeared in newspapers and on radio stations across the world through the Agence France Presse, NPR, BBC Radio 4 and others. He holds a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and a master’s from Duke University.
Lindsey Turnbull – Business / Community Events
Lindsey is a regular contributor to The Cayman Reporter. She originally started her career in the financial services, but in the late 1990s switched to writing, launching and editing one of Cayman’s longest-standing business publications.
During the course of the past 18 years, Lindsey’s articles have appeared in numerous publications. Lindsey reports on a wide range of topics with particular interest in business, the arts, and community focused events.
Lisa Boushy – Features
Lisa has more than 15 years experience working as a journalist, columnist, writer and editor in Cayman as well as Canada. An accomplished magazine and newspaper features writer, Lisa covers a wide range of lifestyle topics, including health, food and drink, art and entertainment, travel, and design.
With a versatile and engaging style, Lisa always strives to get to the heart of the matter and bring a fresh perspective to everything she writes.
